2009 UNDERSTANDING THE MALADY
contempt for one who still suffers
arising from the gift of my own sobriety?
My thumb is almost perfect.
Wouldn’t it be good idea for my thumb to divorce
the rest of my body? [mind and spirit]
I might find somebody that would want to marry
just a perfect thumb.
No eyes, ears, brain etc
or just transplant to a more perfect body.
That would work.
There must be a lot of perfect bodies
that would welcome the attach of a single thumb.
O GOD help me …
